The 8th AQIPA Meeting will be held May 3-4, 2011 in Quebec City. This event will allow exchanges between health professionals, researchers, administrators, people in the field of technology development as well as people living with an amputation. This year the meeting will focus particularly on two aspects that are of particular importance to enable optimal social participation of persons with amputation: technology and psychosocial factors. On the one hand, technology in the field of prosthesis is evolving rapidly and offers new opportunities. On the other hand, psychosocial factors such as the motivation of the person that has sustained an amputation and the support received from her environment plays a crucial role to enable the person to make the best possible use of the technology and to reach her personal goals.
You are invited to join us in Quebec city to share your findings, your tools, your projects as well as your clinical expertise. Although some conferences are in English, please note that the main language for the AQIPA events is French. All the conferences in English will be scheduled on May 3rd, as a translation service (from English to French) will be available for delegates only on that day. But no translation from French to English will be available.
Visit the congress website and join us before march 31st, 2012.
